U.S. launches 337 investigation on LCD devices 2020-05-23
Source: Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce 2020-05-22 On May 21, 2020, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) decided to use liquid crystal display devices, their components and downstream products (Certain Liquid Crystal Display Devices, Components Thereof, and Products Containing the Same) initiated a 337 investigation. The investigation was filed by Sharp Corporation of Japan and Sharp Electronics Corporation of the United States on April 21 in accordance with Section 337 of the US Customs Tariff Act 1930, alleging that the above-mentioned products exported to, imported from, and sold in the United States violated their patent Rights, request ITC to issue limited exclusion orders and prohibition orders.
