U.S. ITC officially launches 337 investigation on high-density fiber optic equipment and its components

On March 19, 2020, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a 337 survey (Survey Code: 337-TA-1194) for certain high-density fiber optic equipment and components (Certain High-Density Fiber Optic Equipment and Components Thereof)

On February 21, 2020, Corning Optical Communications LLC of the United States filed a 337 investigation application with the United States ITC, claiming that the product exported to, imported from, and sold in the United States violated its patent rights (US registered patent numbers 9,020,320, 8,712,206, 10,120,153, 10,094,996, 10,444,456), request the US ITC to issue a general exclusion order and prohibition order.

The US International Trade Commission will determine the end of the investigation within 45 days of filing. Except for the case where the US Trade Representative rejected it for policy reasons, the relief order issued by the US International Trade Commission in the 337 case took effect on the date of issue and has a final effect on the 60th day after the date of issue.
