U.S. ITC Announces Final Decision on Part 337 of Photovoltaic Cells and Downstream Products

On March 2, 2020, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a notice saying that certain PV cells and their downstream products (CERTAIN PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS AND PRODUCTS CONTAININGSAME, survey code: 337-TA-1151) made a final determination of Section 337 : Replace the applicant Hanwha Q CELLS & Advanced Materials Corporation in the original announcement with Hanwha Solutions Corporation.

On April 3, 2019, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a 337 investigation (investigation code: 337-TA-1151) for specific photovoltaic cells and their downstream products (CERTAIN PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS AND PRODUCTS CONTAININGSAME)

On March 4, 2019, Hanwha Q CELLS USA Inc. of Dalton, Georgia in the United States, Hanwha Q CELLS & Advanced Materials Corporation of Korea in South Korea (replaced by Hanwha Solutions Corporation in the announcement issued on March 2, 2020) filed with the United States ITC 337 filed an investigation application, claiming that the product exported to the United States, imported in the United States and sold in the United States violated its patent rights (US registered patent number 9893215), and requested the US ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a prohibition order.
