The United States conducts anti-dumping investigation on China difluoromethane (R32)!

On February 13, 2020, in response to an application filed by American company Arkema Inc. on January 23, 2020, the US Department of Commerce announced that it initiated an anti-dumping investigation against difluoromethane (refrigerant R32) imported from China. The products involved in this case are under the US Customs Tariff Nos. 2903.39.2035, 2903.39.2045, and 3824.78.0020. The product involved in this investigation is difluoromethane (R32), regardless of its form, type and purity level. The CAS number of R32 is 75-10-5, and the chemical formula is CH2F2. The products involved also include R32 processed in third countries or the United States and unpurified R32, including but not limited to purified or any other processed products. Product mixtures other than pentafluoroethane (R125) are included in the scope of the survey as long as the volume ratio of R32 exceeds 85%. The mixture with R125 is included in the survey as long as the volume ratio of R32 exceeds 52%.
