Oman launches Suhar refinery renovation project

Sinochem New Network News Oman Petroleum and Refining and Petroleum Industry Group recently announced that the group will start the renovation of the Suhar refinery, with an estimated investment of more than US$2.7 billion.

The Suhar refinery renovation project is a strategic development project of the group, which has important economic and strategic significance for the Omani refinery and chemical industry. It is expected to increase the crude oil processing capacity of the Suhar refinery to 82,000 barrels per day. Production increased from 116,000 barrels to 198,000 barrels. The project will also have a positive impact on many areas in Oman, such as enhancing localization value, creating more jobs, and supporting SMEs.
