Mexico initiates anti-dumping investigations against dioctyl in South Korea and the United States

On March 19, 2020, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Mexico issued an announcement in the Official Gazette, in response to the application of Mexican company Mexichem Compuestos, SA de CV, to decide on dioctyl phthalate originating in South Korea and the United States (Spanish: DOP) Start an anti-dumping investigation. The TIGIE tax number of the product involved is 2917.32.01. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, and the damage investigation period is from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019. The resolution will take effect the day after it is issued.

According to relevant Mexican laws and regulations, the Ministry of Economy has the right to retroactively levy anti-dumping duties on imported products that have entered the market within 90 days before the implementation of temporary anti-dumping measures.
