India initiates anti-subsidy case investigation on soda ash in Turkey

On March 2, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement saying that in response to a joint application submitted by Indian domestic companies DCWLimited, RSPL Limited and GHCL Limited, a countervailing investigation was initiated on soda ash (Soda Ash) originating or imported from Turkey. The case involved products under Indian Customs Code 2836.20. The subsidy investigation period of this case is April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, and the damage investigation period is April 2016 to March 2017, April 2017 to March 2018, April 2018 to 2019 March and dates outside the subsidy investigation period and the subsidy investigation period.
