Interfax News Agency, Nur-Sultan, April 29, Kazakhstan National Oil and Gas Company announced that in the first quarter of 2020, the company produced 5.929 million tons of crude oil and condensate oil, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%; natural gas and associated gas production 22.6 100 million cubic meters, an increase of 4% year-on-year.
During the statistical period, Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Company obtained a share of 2.184 million tons of oil and 1.597 billion cubic meters of gas in the three major oil fields of Tianjiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak, up 4.6% and 5.9% year-on-year respectively. Delivery of crude oil was 18.517 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%; delivery of natural gas was 28.32 billion cubic meters, an increase of 9.4% year-on-year. 5.922 million tons of crude oil were sold, of which exports accounted for 69%. Sales of natural gas were 7.802 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. Among them, 2.565 billion cubic meters of natural gas was exported, and exports to China accounted for 76%. Affected by the epidemic, the scale of natural gas exports to China in the first quarter was lower than the planned target, but it still increased by 10% compared with the same period last year.
