According to the ICRC website in Moscow on May 17, according to the MRC data analysis report, in the first four months of 2019, Russian polypropylene (PP) imports fell by 7% year-on-year, of which the homopolymer polypropylene had the largest decline .
However, with the increase in the supply of propylene polymers at all levels, the imports of polypropylene that entered the Russian market in April increased from 13,900 tons a month ago to 18,700 tons.
However, compared with 62,000 tons in the same period last year, the total polypropylene imports from Russia in January-April this year decreased to 57900 tons.
With the exception of random polypropylene, the imports of propylene polymers at all levels have declined, with the most significant decline being homopolymer polypropylene.
However, the homopolymer polypropylene imported in April increased to 6300 tons from 5600 tons a month ago. Shipments of homopolymer polypropylene from Azerbaijan increased slightly.
In the first four months of 2019, Russia imported about 18,900 tons of homopolymer polypropylene, compared with 21,000 tons in the same period last year.
Russia imported about 5,600 tons of polypropylene block copolymers in April, compared with 3,500 tons imported in March due to increased demand for pipes and injection molded polypropylene.
From January to April this year, Russia imported polypropylene block copolymer reached 16,000 tons, compared with 16,200 tons in the same period last year.
Due to the increase in pipeline polypropylene purchases, the polypropylene random copolymer imported in April was about 3,600 tons, compared with 3,400 tons imported a month ago.
From January to April, the total number of polypropylene random copolymers imported from Russia was 11,400 tons, compared with 10,800 tons in the same period last year.
The other propylene polymers imported by Russia in the first four months of this year were about 11,600 tons, while the imports during the same period were 14,000 tons.
