Recently, Beijing Gas Group and Rosneft signed a cooperation agreement on the joint establishment of a joint venture to build and operate chain gas stations in Russia at the first Sino-Russian Energy Business Forum. According to the agreement, Beijing Gas Group will hold a 45% stake. The two sides have built about 170 natural gas (CNG) refueling stations in Russia. The project will help China and Russia expand cooperation in the field of clean energy such as natural gas.
In June 2017, Beijing Gas Group signed a cooperation agreement with Russian Petroleum subsidiary Shangqiaosk Oil and Gas Field Company to purchase 20% of its shares. As one of the shareholders, it directly participates in the management and management activities of oil and gas exploration, transportation and sales.
