On June 21, 2019, United Plastic Molders of the United States filed an application with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) in accordance with Section 337 of the United States Tariff Act of 1930, alleging control of US exports, imports and sales Certain Fish-handling Pliers and Packaging Thereof violated its patent and trademark rights, and requested ITC to initiate a 337 investigation and issue a general exclusion order and a prohibition order. Five Chinese enterprises including Weihai Lutes Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. and Yixing Wulian Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. were listed as the respondent.
